Reminder: February 28 Deadline for Detailed DHC-B Proof of Concept Comments; Minor Corrections Made to Files
Please note that the deadline for comments on the Detailed Demographic and Housing Characteristics File B (Detailed DHC-B) Proof of Concept is February 28, 2024.
The U.S. Census Bureau values your feedback on the Detailed DHC-B Proof of Concept. We would like to understand how you or your work will be impacted (positively, negatively, or not at all) if we release the final Detailed DHC-B using the current proposal outlined in the proof of concept. Please provide the level of geography, description of the use case(s), and implications should the data be released as reflected in this proof of concept.
Please send feedback to 2020DAS@census.gov with the subject “2020 Census Detailed DHC-B.” If you do not want us to publish your feedback, or if you want us to remove your identifying information, please indicate that in the email.
Proof of Concept and Tenure Examples Files Updated with Minor Corrections
We want to thank a data user who spotted two typos in the materials released on January 29: one in the Proof of Concept Appendix A and one in the Tenure Examples resource. We updated the files and posted an errata note describing the minor changes. All files are in the same FTP folder hosting all the Detailed DHC-B Proof of Concept materials. Please review the errata note to determine if the changes affect your analysis. The deadline for comments remains the same: February 28, 2024.

About Disclosure Avoidance Modernization
The Census Bureau is modernizing the protections that safeguard 2020 Census responses against emerging confidentiality threats. We rely on data user analysis and feedback to help us develop statistical products that are relevant and statistically accurate yet comply with our confidentiality obligations. This involves making data-driven decisions about the scope and precision of the census data we publicly release. We encourage you to visit our Disclosure Avoidance Modernization website to learn more.
