Privately-owned housing starts in April 2022 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,724,000. This is 0.2 percent (+/- 8.7%)* below the revised March 2022 estimate of 1,728,000.

March 2022 (r): -2.8* % change

(*)The 90% confidence interval includes zero. The Census Bureau does not have sufficient statistical evidence to conclude that the actual change is different from zero.

Estimates are adjusted for seasonal variation but not for price changes.
