This week we also celebrate the Bill of Rights and the first successful powered flight by the Wright Brothers. Today is Day 3 of the Opportunity Project Summit: Open Innovation for All. Hosted by the Census Bureau’s Census Open Innovation Labs, the virtual conference features more than 45 new products from industry collaborators and others that use federal open data to solve real-world problems.

Bill of Rights Day
Today is Bill of Rights Day. According to the National Archives, “The Constitution might never have been ratified if the framers had not promised to add a Bill of Rights. The first ten amendments to the Constitution gave citizens more confidence in the new government and contain many of today's Americans most valued freedoms.”
Wright Brothers Day
Wright Brothers Day is on December 17th. In 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright piloted their airplane in the world’s first powered and controlled flights in Dare County, North Carolina.
