Celebrating a Bountiful Harvest

Thanksgiving Fun Facts

It’s Thanksgiving! In the fall of 1621, the pilgrims held a three-day feast to celebrate the harvest and the spirit of giving and sharing. Many think of this event as being the first thanksgiving. Keep the tradition going by making it an eat-and-learn feast. Find out which states raise the most turkeys, or the number of grocery stores and markets in the United States that sell food for the big feast. By downloading our Thanksgiving Day Fun Facts handout, you can share these data nuggets and more with students and their families this holiday.
