Door-to-Door Visits Begin Nationwide for 2020 Census

Census Takers in Your Neighborhood

The U.S. Census Bureau began following up with households nationwide that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census. Based on the current self-response rate of 63.8%, the Census Bureau estimates it will need to visit about 56 million addresses to collect responses in person. Up to 500,000 census takers across the country will go door to door to assist people in responding to the 2020 Census.

Second Phase of Household Pulse Survey

The Census Bureau has targeted mid-August to resume data collection for the experimental Household Pulse Survey. Results of the first phase of the Household Pulse Survey are available through the Household Pulse Survey Interactive Tooldetailed tables and a public use data file on the website.

Census Bureau Announces Second Phase of Small Business Pulse Survey

The Census Bureau announced the start of a second phase of the experimental Small Business Pulse Survey. Data collection began August 9, 2020. Results will be released weekly starting August 20 through October 15, 2020. Data are available through the Small Business Pulse Survey Interactive Tool and downloadable files.
