SIS Week - Thursday

Starting Soon: Mission Census

Don’t miss out! Mission Census starts at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Join us for a virtual field trip to the U.S. Census Bureau on Day 4 of Statistics in Schools (SIS) Week with a behind-the-scenes pass to hear Census Bureau Director Steven Dillingham and some of the agency’s top experts. Use this special event to teach students about census data collection and use and to boost their interest in the 2020 Census.

Here’s how to bring this special experience to your students:

  • Play the virtual field trip video and use our teacher guide to provide students with additional context.
  • Extend the experience with a live Twitter chat at 1 p.m. ET on March 5. U.S. Census Bureau experts will be on hand to answer questions about the 2020 Census and the many uses of census data. Just follow @uscensusbureau with #StatsinSchools to participate.

Puerto Rico SIS Week Day 4: Use the daily activity in Spanish to teach your students about Puerto Rico and the history of the census on their island.
