Today, we’re excited to announce our 2020 Census Integrated Communications Campaign platform: "Shape your future. START HERE."
The campaign platform conveys the importance and impact of the 2020 Census to individuals, families and communities for the next 10 years. The information provided by the census is used to shape communities, identifying where schools, senior centers, health clinics, public transportation, and fire stations are needed – all things that offer a better future. It all starts with responding to the census, and each one of us has a chance to be counted.
We encourage you to use our tagline and logo on your websites to link to 2020census.gov. To help you develop your own materials, new usage guidelines explain how to use the logo and tagline.
Extensive research went in to developing this platform. Information from our Census Barriers, Attitudes and Motivators Study (CBAMS) told us what people know about the census, what motivates them to respond, and what might prevent them from responding. We paired these insights with recommendations from our communications contractor’s multicultural agencies to ensure our platform reaches everyone across languages, cultures, and hard-to-count populations.
