Regarding the State of California not recognizing HR-218 Authorization for Retired Federal Agents to Carry a Concealed Weapon
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives sent this bulletin at 05/03/2013 02:06 PM EDTTo All ATF Retirees:
It has come to our attention that the State of California does not recognize as valid the HR-218 authorization for retired Federal Agents to carry a concealed weapon. We are therefore advising retirees to exercise caution if you travel or live in California and intend to carry your weapon. The issue has been brought to the attention of FLEOA for their consideration and action.
