The Kansas City Field Division is responsible for ATF criminal enforcement and industry regulatory activities in the states of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. This field division’s special agents combat firearms violence by focusing their investigative efforts on armed violent offenders, career criminals, gun traffickers, violent gangs, and other criminal organizations. We encourage all residents to get involved and assist us in our goal of reducing crime in our neighborhoods by anonymously submitting information through our ATF Tips app (Android and iOS), visiting the reportit website, submitting an anonymous form, or by reaching out to your local field office. New Reward Notice: ATF Offers Reward in Gun Store Burglary

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, II. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Wood River, Il Police Department, today announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stealing several firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer in Wood River.

 

New Press Release: Missouri Resident Who Illegally Possessed Gun in Arkansas, Threatened to Kill Law Enforcement Officers, Receives 10 Year Prison Sentence

LITTLE ROCK—A Missouri resident overheard on jail calls threatening to kill law enforcement officers and witnesses was sentenced today to federal prison for 10 years for possessing a firearm in Arkansas. Cody Hiland, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, announced that multi-convicted felon Jimmy David McVay, 34, of Steele, Mo., was sentenced to the statutory maximum 120 months in prison for his illegal possession of a firearm in Blytheville in 2016.
