Global Health: Science and Practice Journal Global Health: Science and Practice (GHSP) is published by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Knowledge for Health project at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs, and the Department of Global Health at George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. This new peer-reviewed, open-access journal particularly aims to reach those who implement and otherwise support global health programs.
Global health programs should be research-driven. GHSP strives to advance knowledge on how programs are implemented using a clear and concise communication style, and promote what works. “People implementing programs are busy implementing… and need efficiently packaged and thought-stimulating literature to meet their needs. So we will aim for a crisp style, one that lays out key concepts prominently,” explains James Shelton, co-editor-in-chief.
GHSP will be issued four times a year and will include articles on all global health topics, covering diverse programming models and a wide range of cross-cutting issues that have an impact on and support health systems.
READ THE INAUGURAL ISSUE The inaugural March 2013 issue of GHSP illustrates the breadth of topics of current interest to the global health community, using a clear and concise communication style that lays out key concepts prominently.
