Child Welfare Policy Manual Amended

The Children’s Bureau amended Child Welfare Policy Manual (CWPM) 8.5B Q/A #6 to clarify that title IV-E agencies may count a period of up to 60 days toward the consecutive 6-month requirement for purposes of determining eligibility for title IV-E kinship guardianship assistance payments when there are agency delays to issuing the actual approval or license when the prospective guardian’s home satisfies all requirements for licensure or approval.
