The Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Analytics (QIC-WA) was established in 2023 to build capacity in public and tribal child welfare agencies and develop tools that improve the usefulness of workforce data. The QIC-WA is led by the Agile Visual Analytics Lab at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs in partnership with the Children's Bureau. They are a dedicated team of professionals with expertise in child welfare workforce, implementation, data analytics, and diversity, equity, and inclusion, committed to addressing persistent child welfare workforce challenges with data-driven solutions. Learn more about the project here.
The QIC-WA is seeking a total of six county, state, territorial, or tribal child welfare agencies to be project sites. Selected agencies will be interested in workforce analytics and testing evidence-informed workforce strategies. The QIC-WA will partner with and provide significant support to the selected sites to use their Human Resources (HR) data to gain insights into their agency functioning and to implement and evaluate the impact of interventions that aim to improve child welfare workforce outcomes. This is an opportunity for public child welfare agencies to dive deep into their workforce data and identify root causes of their workforce challenges, build workforce analytics capacity, participate in a peer-learning network, and implement and test a site-specific intervention to address the identified challenges.
Register today for a webinar on Thursday, January 18, where you can learn more about the opportunity to be a QIC-WA site. The Call for Applications provides details about the opportunity, including the timeline and a link to the application. The application deadline is February 15, 2024.
