SEPTEMBER 2023
Dear Colleague,
How was your Labor Day weekend? Relaxing, I hope, because September is filled with lots to recognize and celebrate!
First off, I'd like to wish everyone a happy Child Welfare Workforce Development Month and Kinship Care Month! We've included all sorts of resources focused on workload management, the well-being of the workforce, culturally responsive practices, understanding kinship care and the child welfare system, and preparing children and youth for other family placements.
You will also find resources to recognize Suicide Prevention Month and Recovery Month along with registration information for two exciting events! Make sure to register and help us spread the word.
As always, reach out with any questions or collaboration ideas. Happy sharing!
All the best, Alissa Schroder, Senior Communications Specialist
