The wait is over. The new 2023/2024 Prevention Resource Guide is here! Access it for free online or pre-order your copy on the National Child Abuse Prevention Month website.
The new edition of the 2023/2024 Prevention Resource Guide was created with input from a broad representation of national experts, including national child abuse prevention partners and colleagues on the Federal Inter-Agency Work Group on Child Abuse and Neglect as well as parents and local community leaders.
This year's guide incorporates the theme, "Doing Things Differently: Moving from the Challenge to the Change," and highlights the many innovative strategies that communities around the country are doing to help children and families thrive.
You can use it year-round to support your work with schools, family resource centers, community centers, and other organizations in your community. It's packed with innovative ideas that help you consider ways to support families on community, organization, system, and societal levels.
The Protective Factors Conversation Guides for Parents and Caregivers are available!
Your favorite Conversation Guides are still available in the new edition of the Prevention Resource Guide!
Access them in English and Spanish and use them to create structured conversations with parents and caregivers that target each of the six protective factors. Use them one-on-one, in group settings, or even virtually.
