Shared streets blend pedestrian, vehicle, and bike traffic and pose unique challenges to pedestrians with vision impairments. A representative from the Federal Highway Administration, which has issued a report on accessibility best practices for shared streets, will join the Access Board in conducting this session. Presenters will review issues people with vision impairments face, as well as the strategies they use, in navigating shared streets. They also will outline recommendations and considerations for integrating accessibility in street planning and design.

Visit www.accessibilityonline.org for more information or to register for the webinar. Questions can be submitted in advance of the session or can be posed during the webinar.
