Shared spaces and left homes must be clear
You must keep any communal areas clear, and completely empty your home when you leave it. We won't tolerate items in corridors or stairs. They are a serious fire and safety risk.
If you have items to get rid of, please recycle or reuse them. If we have to do this for you, we will charge you.

Updating your homes
The way we modernise your homes has changed. Fitting new kitchens or windows, used to be carried out by area.
Now, it's done depending on the condition of your home.
Our surveys will tell us what needs replacing and when and we'll let you know when your home is due work.

Pay rent by Allpay or Direct Debit?
Some Allpay cards are wearing out. Ask your Housing Management Officer (HMO) for a new one.
Or, make it easier for yourself, and pay your rent by Direct Debit. You can set it up to pay on 1st or 8th or 15th or 22nd of the month. And that's it! It's then paid without you having to do more. Ask your HMO to arrange this or go to Open Housing.

New partner to be found to build new homes
We want to build more, including more high-quality homes for social rent. To do this, we are developing a new Housing Strategy and are planning to create a new partnership. Together we will build homes on Council-owned land like those at Duncombe Square (see above). These new homes will be at sites including Ordnance Lane, Castle Mills and Manor School.
