 Foster Care Fortnight
It’s Foster Care Fortnight (12-25 May), the national celebration of fostering and foster carers. We urgently need more foster carers to support local children and young people in York. Did you know that you can foster even if your own children are still at home? If you’ve ever wanted to find out more about the role and its rewards, visit fostering.york.gov.uk

Take care when keeping cool
Remember that while it may seem tempting to cool off in York's rivers and any open water in this warm weather, they are dangerous places even for the strongest of swimmers. Stay safe this Spring.
Hidden debris, unexpected cold temperatures and strong currents can be dangerous even for strong swimmers.
