Welcome to your latest Families update
In this edition you'll find information on support for anyone struggling domestic abuse, ideas for festive activities and support available this holiday, winter wellbeing tips and much more.
Content warning: This newsletter contains information that you may find distressing including reference to Domestic Abuse. Please be mindful of your own wellbeing in deciding whether to continue reading this.
Things might appear merry and bright, but domestic abuse doesn't take time off for Christmas.
The pressures of the festive season can be used by domestic abusers as an excuse for their controlling and coercive behaviour, and every year, Christmas sees an increase in reports of abuse in intimate or family relationships.
If you, or someone you know, is experiencing a controlling relationship, support is available.

Are you 'winter wellbeing' ready?
With the festive season just around the corner, it’s important to know when your local pharmacy is open. Stay well this winter by stocking your medicine cabinet and ordering prescriptions ahead of time.
Pharmacy processing times may be slightly longer at this time of year. Don’t delay ordering or collecting repeat prescriptions
