July 2023
Have your say
This month we are going to be launching new consultations. One survey will be asking for your views on what you think our priorities should be over the next four years. We want to know what is important to you to make somewhere a good place to live and what you feel needs improving in the district.
In separate surveys we will be asking you for your views on measures we have in place to tackle alcohol related anti-social behaviour and irresponsible dog ownership. We are reviewing our Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) in place in Bewdley, Kidderminster and Stourport town centres as well as our dog control PSPO.
The surveys will be available later this month on our consultations webpage.

If you would like to be notified when the surveys are live, please sign up to our consultations email list.
Meet the Rangers
Join our Rangers on Saturday 15 July at one of our newest nature reserves - Mitton Marsh. They will be leading a short, easy walk around the reserve, taking questions and talking about the work they have done and have planned. They would also like to hear about visitors' sightings on the reserve. If all goes to plan our Shetland cattle will be onsite carrying out their first graze.
Meet 10am at the bridge over the River Stour on Mill Road, Stourport. (What3Words ///angel.them.career) The event will finish at 11.30am.

Regenerating Worcester Street project
The next step of the regeneration of Worcester Street in Kidderminster is underway. Contractors will be taking down the former Woolworths, Megavalue, Poundland and Sigma Aquatics buildings. This phased demolition is being rolled out over the next few months. The plan is for the area to be transformed into an outdoor green space in the middle of town. Consultations on the proposals are due to take place in August.
Defibrillator fund open
Are you involved in a local organisation such as a village hall or sports club that has or would like to have a defibrillator?
Organisations across England are being invited to bid for a share of £1 million of government funding to buy defibrillators for community spaces.
You can register an expression of interest for the £1 million Community Automated External Defibrillators Fund. It is aimed at increasing the number of defibrillators in public places where they are most needed and help save lives.
If your organisation already has a defibrillator is it registered on the national database - ‘The Circuit’? It provides information on where defibrillators are located and enables emergency services, including first responders, to locate the nearest one. Defibrillator registration is simple and quick to do.
