North Worcestershire Business Awards 2023 are open – enter now!

The fourth North Worcestershire Business Awards organised by North Worcestershire Business Leaders (NWBL) and North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWedR) is open for entries.

There are eight business award categories – all free and simple to enter online. Winners will be presented a gorgeous glass trophy at the awards dinner at Hogarth’s Stone Manor Hotel near Kidderminster in November. Closing date for entries is 31 July 2023.

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Help To Grow Management Course

It’s time to take your business to the next level with the Help to Grow: Management Course delivered by the University of Worcester. Help to Grow is a government funded, leadership course aimed at senior managers in small and medium sized businesses.  The course has been designed in collaboration with industry experts, experienced entrepreneurs, and​ business schools. The course provides practical skills and knowledge to develop employees, build business resilience, increase profits and support growth. 

Created by the Department of Business, Entergy and Industrial Strategy this course is being delivered part time (12 weeks on Wednesday afternoon's, with 4 sessions in person and the rest online).  The cost is £750 (discounted by BEIS) but companies can receive bursaries from Growth Hubs / Council Programmes.

2023 apprenticeship awards

Worcestershire's apprenticeship awards 2023 encouraging entries

Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Worcestershire County Council are calling for entries for the popular Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2023.

2023 will mark the ninth year of the annual awards and this year the celebratory event will take place at the West Midland Safari Park in November. 

Entries to the awards have now opened with apprentices, employers, schools and training providers in Worcestershire being encouraged to submit their entries or nominations via the online nomination process.

Celebrate the impact of someone you know in apprenticeships and submit entries or nominations for the Awards before the 14 July deadline, by visiting the Worcestershire Apprenticeships webpage.

Business Conference helping to reduce environmental impact

Worcestershire County Council and the Worcestershire Growth Hub have announced registration is now open for their upcoming Business Worcestershire Conference on Tuesday 27 June at Sixways Stadium Worcester 8:00 am – 1:00pm.

The focus of the upcoming conference is on Net Zero and Sustainability. Through thought-provoking discussions and talks, attendees will hear the latest thinking from expert speakers and local businesses as they explore what is Net Zero, tackling rising energy costs, carbon reduction techniques and employee and supply chain engagement.

The conference is designed to help businesses in Worcestershire who are looking to begin their net zero journeys and for those already committed to making a change but are looking for inspiration to help improve their current strategies.

Any business with between 11 and 249 employees registered for business within the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP geography can access our Clean Growth support programmes.
