Get boosted now!
The latest figures for Wyre Forest show there are 1,009 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000. The figures are dropping slowly but Covid-19 is still here and we need to continue to protect ourselves and others.
Vaccination remains our best defence against COVID-19 and you are urged to Get Boosted Now, first and second jabs are still available. In the district 68% have had all their doses.
Other ways you can help stop the spread include using a face covering in indoor places, washing your hands regularly, testing regularly, staying at home if you feel unwell and using the Covid-19 NHS app.
Please remember it is still a legal requirement to self-isolate if you test positive for Covid-19 and you must self-isolate if you are told to do so by NHS Test & Trace.

Cultural hub given go-ahead
Plans to transform the former Magistrates’ Court in Kidderminster into a cultural and creative hub were given the go ahead last month.
The heritage building will provide a range of flexible workspace, performance and production areas and co-working spaces in the main buildings and a multi-purpose events space in the historic former weaving sheds.
The development of this site is being made possible after we successfully applied for funding from The Future High Streets Fund (FHSF) – the Government funding initiative to transform struggling high streets.

Helping businesses go greener
We’re helping businesses develop the ways they work to become greener and meet climate targets. It’s a joint project with Worcestershire technology accelerator BetaDen and has been funded thanks to the Government’s UK Community Renewal Fund. There will be workshops delivered by industry experts and eight companies will go on to take part in a bootcamp where they receive help to develop their idea.
