Online grants

Local Restrictions Grant open for applications

The Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open) is now open for applications. This is a government grant administered by local authorities.  It is available to businesses that, whilst not required to close whilst when in Tier 2, were impacted by the restrictions in place between 2 and 29 December 2020.  Priority will be given to those businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors.  More information and online application forms are available on your local authority websites:

New Business Council launched

The government has launched the ‘Build Back Better Council’ which brings together a broad range of business leaders from across the British economy to work in partnership with the Government on Coronavirus economic recovery and future growth plans. The Build Back Better Council will be comprised of 30 members representing industries from retail and hospitality, to finance, science and technology.

Peer to Peer Networks

Peer Networks is a national peer-to-peer networking programme for SME leaders that want to grow and develop their organisation for future success. Delivered locally through either of our two Local Enterprise Partnership Growth Hubs, the objective is to create diverse cohort groups of individuals to collaboratively work through common business issues. Through interactive action learning, you will be able to discuss your own business challenges, gain and reflect on valuable feedback and implement practical solutions to overcome them.

Diverse business

Grant funding for diverse businesses – open until February 2021

There is currently a great opportunity for diverse businesses to receive grant funding and support.

The Diverse Supply Chains (Tender Readiness & Grant) programme is being delivered by Aston University.  It is available to diverse businesses in the GBSLEP area which includes Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest districts.  This includes those owned and managed by women, black and minority ethnic and young entrepreneurs.  It also includes, people with limiting disabilities, people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBTQ+). 

Grants will only be available to eligible businesses that attend the workshop programme. 

Following the workshops, the participating businesses can access grants of up to £2,500 (matched), to buy services such as:

  • Bid writing, training in bid writing / support in bid writing
  • Marketing and branding e.g., developing websites and marketing material
  • Supporting the cost of additional specialised consultancy support
  • Acquiring accreditations(non-regulatory)
  • Leadership training and confidence building

Networking opportunity for professional services

Enterprising Worcestershire is offering new or young businesses a fund towards their choice of business membership. For a limited time, Enterprising Worcestershire can now fund £150 towards your choice of business membership. This will provide you with ongoing support and access to a wide range of business services, critical for your new or early stage business. Memberships can cover access to a range of services, covering everything from legal and tax support, employment legislation, webinars and masterclasses and networking opportunities.
