Tier 2 - High Alert

Local restriction tiers

From Wednesday 2 December the new local restriction tier system will be in place where different tiers of restrictions apply in different parts of the country.

The Government has today announced that Worcestershire will be in Tier 2: High Alert.

Online grants

Additional Restrictions Grant Update

There are currently two grant programmes available to support businesses affected by the latest lockdown which began on the 5th November. The Local Restrictions Support Grant is for those businesses ordered to close, and who have a Business Rates account.  The Additional Restrictions Grant is for businesses forced to close but unable to access the Local Restrictions Support Grant because they don’t have a separate business rates account, or who haven’t been forced to close but are nonetheless severely impacted by the national government restrictions put in place to control the spread of Covid-19.

Redditch-based technology firm, Unique IQ, has been named best management technology supplier to the care industry, in the inaugural Care Sector Supplier Awards. The awards, which took place digitally on Friday 20th November, seek out the best providers of products and services to the care sector in the UK.

Your input to the Redditch Town Investment Plan

Redditch currently has an opportunity to acquire significant government funding through the Towns Fund. This funding is intended to improve the town and make it a better place to live and work. To apply for this funding, Redditch Borough Council needs to put forward ideas for where funding could be invested to make a difference to residents and businesses.

This short survey, which only takes 5 minutes to complete, is an opportunity for people living and working in Redditch to give input about what matters to them.

Last chance to give your views

We're urging you to share your views about Kidderminster as part of a major consultation to shape the town centre's future.

Town centres throughout the UK have and continue to experience the challenges of a societal shift in changing shopping habits as well as the influence of Covid-19.  This is an opportunity for anyone who lives, visits, works in or has a view about Kidderminster to have their say on how they think the town centre could be made into a better place over the next twenty years. The deadline for responses is Thursday 26 November at 5pm

Have your say on budget survey

Have your say on WFDC budget proposals

Take 10 minutes to have your say on budget proposals from Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet. The plans include changing the way services are delivered, which may include working with other councils and the private sector. Among its other proposals are commissioning a business case on disposing of all or some parts of Wyre Forest House headquarters and moving local assets and services to town councils. The survey closes at midday on Thursday 10 December 2020.

Online this Friday - Bromsgrove’s Annual Jobs Fair

On Friday 27 November from 10am-12noon – Sajid Javid MP will be hosting his sixth annual Jobs Fair.  This popular free event brings together businesses looking for new employees, apprentices and volunteers together with prospective jobseekers.  Due to public health restrictions, the Fair will be held online for the first time.
