Twenty of North Worcestershire’s best businesses have been named as finalists in the first North Worcestershire Business Awards. Finalists will join more than 160 guests at the glittering awards event at Hogarths Stone Manor on Thursday 28 November 2019 where the winners of each category will be announced.

Brinton park

Be part of Brinton Park’s future

Brinton Park – The People’s Park, is an exciting £2.9 million project which aims to restore and conserve the Kidderminster park’s historic and natural heritage as well as funding new and improved facilities in the park. The plan is also to develop training, leisure, and volunteering opportunities. Wyre Forest District Council has applied to The National Heritage Fund, Parks for People grant programme and has received development funding for a further application. Celebrating 10 years ReWyre

ReWyre Celebrates 10 Years at conference

Business leaders celebrated 10 years of regeneration across the Wyre Forest area at a breakfast event hosted by NWedR on behalf of Wyre Forest District Council at Hogarths Stone Manor earlier this month.

More than 50 professionals from a range of business sectors heard about completed regeneration projects and found out about work in progress and future initiatives to regenerate and boost the local economy.

Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2019 finalists announced

Twenty-eight of Worcestershire’s best apprentices, schools, careers leads, training providers, apprenticeship champions and employers have been named as finalists for the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2019. This year’s awards received a large amount of nominations in all 10 categories. The finalists will join hundreds of businesses and guests at the awards finals from 6.30pm on Thursday 14 November at the Tree Tops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, where the winners of each category will be announced. Picture shows winners of the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2018.

Calling all creatives

Calling All Creatives!

WINN is running a competition for local designers/artists/creatives to develop its 2020 events calendar. Entrants can send in up to 500 words on their suggested design and must include an existing design. Rob Draper (designer of WINNs 2019 calendar) will be judging the applications, and a gallery event of the existing designs will be held at The Kiln in Worcester to celebrate the awesome artwork. There is a £500 prize for the WINNer. Applications close on 2 October.
