We are now approaching the end of essential works at Haywards Heath Library to redecorate and refurbish our non-fiction area, study spaces and provide a new help point for customers. The investment in this new look and layout comes from developer contributions known as Section 106 payments.
As we approach the final phase of the project, the library will be temporarily closed to allow for new furnishings to be installed and for books to be unpacked and reshelved.
Haywards Heath Library will be temporarily closed, with no service available from Monday 17 November to Tuesday 25 November.
During this time:
- Some of our regular activities including Rhyme Time and Storytime will take place at Haywards Heath Town Hall (see below).
- There will be no access to registrar appointments at Haywards Heath Library.
- You will be able to return books using our out of hours book return.
Your newly refurbished Haywards Heath Library will reopen at 9:30am on Wednesday 26 November 2025.
Registrar appointments at Haywards Heath Library will resume from Monday 01 December 2025.
