UPDATED: Sussex Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures

Wednesday 21 May 2025

An updated version of the Sussex Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures has been published. This version is version 6.0.

Both the online and PDF versions have been updated, meaning that the PDF version now includes all updates previously made to the online version since the release of version 5, including:

  • updates to terminology in line with legislation and best practice;
  • information about new systems and processes;
  • more information about quality monitoring arrangements and responsibilities;
  • strengthened messaging around processes for working with adults who self-neglect;
  • updated appendices.

Please note that these procedures are best used as an online resource, where links to relevant sections can be used, and updates are regularly made. Future updates made to the online procedures will not immediately be reflected in the PDF version.
