We updated you on the National Wraparound Childcare Programme grant funding in newsletter #48/2024.
Since then, an expression of interest form has opened for the breakfast clubs early adopter scheme.
In April 2025, free breakfast clubs will be introduced in up to 750 early adopter schools. This is part of a Department for Education (DfE) test and learn phase, in advance of the national roll out.
If you currently serve a state funded primary school, have breakfast club provision or wish to develop breakfast club provision that serves a state funded school, please approach the school you work with. They will need to complete an expression of interest form to join the early adopter scheme, which will close on Friday 20 December.
The DfE will be holding a webinar on Thursday 5 December for those wanting to learn more about the scheme. They will also talk about the application process. You can register online to attend the webinar. The webinar registration form will close at 4.00pm on Monday 2 December.
