It's back to school, university and college time.
Sometimes it can be tricky to study at home or college if you want a space free from distractions.
West Sussex Libraries offer a wide range of resources for students of all ages. From study spaces to resources to help with your studies, we’ve got you covered. So here’s a handy list of ways your local library is supporting students:
Don’t forget that we can also help when you need a break from studying, with books, eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks and more to borrow and download for enjoyment, relaxation and escapism.
You can find out more on our Using the Library webpages, plus we will be attending college freshers fairs during this month.
An incredible 11,000 children in West Sussex are now taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge. We hope they’ve all been having fun reading and collecting the different rewards this summer.
Don’t forget, the reading challenge ends on Saturday 9 September. Children need to have finished reading their six books by then so that they can collect their medal and certificate from their local library. Well done to all those children who have completed the challenge so far!
We’re delighted to be hosting four author and poetry events in our libraries this autumn.
Check out our author events listings on the website.
You can now listen to even more free eAudiobooks with your library card, through a new app and website, uLibrary. As well as offering different titles to those on Libby and BorrowBox, on uLibrary there are no waiting lists, so you can read with your friends or reading group. You can download the uLibrary app to your mobile device or listen through the uLibrary website. Discover everything that we offer in our eLibrary including more eAudiobooks, plus eBooks, eInformation, eMagazines, eNewspapers and eComics.

Trained and supportive volunteers coach learners during weekly one-to-one sessions in libraries, using a dedicated workbook. Learners must be 18 years old to take part.
