We are pleased to announce that BorrowBox, the user-friendly library app that allows you to enjoy eAudiobooks on the go, is now available to all West Sussex Library Service users.
With a diverse collection of eAudiobooks at your fingertips, BorrowBox ensures you’ll never be without something great to listen to.
Best of all, it’s completely free with your library card!
We’re holding a special drop-in session all about BorrowBox on Thursday 4 May from 10.00am to 1.00pm at Crawley Library. Bring along your smartphone or tablet and we can help you download the app and show you what BorrowBox can offer.
This Saturday 6 May our libraries are holding coronation themed activities for children.
There will be craft activities including crown making and colour-in bunting, along with special Storytime sessions in selected libraries. To celebrate His Majesty King Charles III’s enthusiasm and care for the environment, families can also pick up packets of wildflower seeds when they visit a library.
Our librarians have also been delving into the archives and discovered some wonderful past coronation and jubilee material. Pop into your local library to see a selection of the memorabilia we have found.
Yes, it's that time of year again! Eurovision is back and this year it's being held in Liverpool.

We had a fantastic evening with Graham Bartlett at Haywards Heath Library last month discussing his Jo Howe novels. Here are a couple of the answers to the questions we asked him.
What’s the best advice you’ve received on writing?
“When I was writing my first novel, Dorothy Koomson regularly asked how I was getting on. When I told her that I was only about a third of the way through due to re-editing she took me to one side and told me I’d never finish the book that way and needed to complete the first draft before making changes. My first novel took seven years to write while my second only took one.”
What book would you recommend?
I’ve loved Razorblade Tears by S. A. Cosby.
Did you know that we run a range of business events and services?

You can make a request for a book or a periodical that we don't have in stock either using our online form or at your local library.
