 Regulation, Audit and Accounts Committee
Co-opted Independent member volunteer sought
The Council has agreed to establish this position on the Regulation, Audit and Accounts Committee. The purpose of the audit function of the Committee is to provide independent assurance of the adequacy of risk management framework and the associated control environment, independent scrutiny of the County Council’s financial and non-financial performance to the extent that it affects the Council’s exposure to risk and weakens the control environment, and to oversee the financial reporting process. Someone with experience as an accountant or auditor working with statutory accounts, or with significant experience as an Audit Committee member or non-executive director in a large or complex organisation would be ideal for this role. More detail is available on the volunteering page of the Council’s website.
