Congratulations to them and to all the nominees! We were very impressed by all the amazing work that pupil librarians are doing in West Sussex primary schools. The winners will receive a book token and an original drawing provided by Chris Riddell, former children’s laureate and award-winning author and illustrator. All of the nominees will receive certificates in recognition of their hard work, plus video messages from Chris Riddell and Lesley Sim, Head of West Sussex Libraries.

The Silly Squad
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year in libraries over the summer holidays. This national reading for pleasure programme is now in its 22nd year. Last year more than 700,000 children took part by borrowing, reading and talking about their favourite books. This year's theme is 'Silly Squad' and will celebrate books that make us laugh.
