We hope you all enjoyed a much needed break over the Easter weekend with family and loved ones and continue to keep yourselves and your families safe. Hopefully you were also able to grab some exercise, especially to work off any excessive consumption of Easter treats. We can’t tell you often enough how grateful we are and how very much we appreciate your hard work and commitment – thank you.
The government's review of the COVID-19 response is still due to happen so if any significant changes are announced we will provide any relevant information via these setting updates.
Tomorrow (15/04/20) a repeat survey will open for you to submit your current data about the attendance of vulnerable children and children of critical workers. As before it will be open for 24 hours tomorrow, closing at midnight. There will be a further reminder in tomorrow morning's update, along with the link to access the survey. Note that the link changes each time.
We have had a few queries about this survey so hope the following provides the clarity required.
- The survey is to help the government understand the current take up of places for children attending your setting.
- This does not replace the requirement to inform the Family Information Service about your provision being open or closed.
- You must still keep your own setting attendance records.
- If you have no children in a particular category currently attending, please submit "0".
- Please only include children currently attending in your figures.
- If you are able to be open, even if you don't currently have children every day, please record yourself as open.
- For the number of children, please only record the children who are currently attending your setting under each category, rather than the children who would normally attend your setting. For example, if you have a child of a key worker who would normally attend, but does not need childcare this week, please do not include them in your numbers.
- If you are including any children who are in full time education (at school) then they should be added to the over 5's box, regardless of their age.
- If you have a child attending who is vulnerable but also the child of a critical worker please only enter them under one category.

Reminder: Data capture survey required every Wednesday and Friday
All providers please complete a short online survey, twice a week, every Wednesday and Friday. The link to the survey is different each time. A link will be provided in the morning broadcast on each of the days it is required. Each survey will only be open on the day it is required, and will close at midnight.
