Henfield Library temporarily closing for refurbishment!

Henfield Library

From Monday 27 January to Wednesday 5 February, Henfield Library will be temporarily closed to allow for renovation works to take place.

This will include electrical work, redecoration, an improved and enlarged children’s area and the installation of new flexible shelving.

To help minimise disruption to customers during the closure the following arrangements will be in place:

  • all books and other items on loan from Henfield Library can be returned to any other West Sussex library
  • no items should be due for return while the library is closed
  • the reserving and renewing of items online will still be available, and you can choose to collect from any West Sussex library
  • customers can continue to download the FREE eLibrary apps to read comics, magazines, newspapers and eBooks
  • regular events – including Rhyme Time and Storytime – will continue to take place at nearby libraries
  • all library customers can use public computers and IT facilities at any West Sussex library

In addition to the works happening at Henfield, a new staff library computer system is being installed in all libraries in West Sussex. This will require all libraries to be closed on Monday 10 February. If you have any library books borrowed from Henfield library which have 10 February as a return date staff will be happy to waive any charges for that day. We apologise for any inconvenience.

We look forward to seeing you when we re-open!
