Book a magical experience with Santa
Santa's elves are busy transforming Dinton Activity Centre into a magical Christmas Grotto and we're delighted to announce Santa will be there from 28 November to 24 December.*
Your session begins with a lovely Christmas crafting session, followed by a visit to the grotto where you will meet and show Santa your wish list.
Each child will receive a present from Santa and a sweet treat.
We're running an early bird promotion where you can book Santa's Grotto for £16 per person. This offer is valid until close of play today (30 October). From tomorrow, tickets cost £17 per child from our website.
Take a look at our other Christmas events and book early before they sell out.
*Santa's Grotto visits run on selected dates.
Take up a new hobby: birdwatching
The RSPB Wokingham and Bracknell group are running their next walk around Dinton Pastures on 18 November from 10am to 12.30pm.
It is aimed at birdwatching beginners who want to learn more about the hobby.
The group is a great way to meet friendly, like-minded people in your area while learning more about birds and wildlife.
During the walk, you will visit several lakes and bird hides and get an introduction to:
- Using optics and recommended field guides and apps
- Identifying birds
- Understanding the difference between resident and migratory birds
Tickets cost £7.50 per person and includes a voucher for a tea or coffee for you to enjoy at The Coffee House after the event.
A £5 reduced car parking ticket is available to buy on our website.
 Craft a sweet gingerbread house
Get into the Christmas spirit and have fun crafting a unique, fused glass gingerbread house. The workshop takes place on 19 November from 7pm to 8.30pm at Dinton Activity Centre.
The workshop begins with an introduction and talk through what you will be making and then a very relaxed informal evening where you can work alone, in a group of friends or maybe make some new ones.
There will be lots of inspiration and accessories available for you to create your gingerbread house. No experience is necessary. The gingerbread house would make a lovely Christmas present for a loved one or as a decorative piece for your home.
After kiln firing, it will be mounted in a wooden block to make it freestanding.
Tickets cost £35 per person. Tea and coffee are provided. Parking is available to be purchased via the machines in the car park on the evening, or a reduced car parking ticket can be purchased in advance.
Your artwork will be taken away on the night to be fired in a kiln and will be back at Dinton usually within the week for collection.
