Road closure for electricity investigation continues
Evendons Lane in Wokingham will be closed between Blagrove Lane and Edneys Hill from this coming Monday (27 April) to Tuesday 5 May.
This is to allow Scottish and Southern Energy Networks to dig trial holes for electrical connection works, with a diversion via Edneys Hill, B3349 and Blagrove Lane.
Further closures will take place on Evendons Lane and Edneys Hill from Tuesday 5 May and from Monday 11 May, with everything finishing by Monday 18 May.
Every effort will be made to keep access open for pedestrians and cyclists, and queries should initially be directed to SSEN.
Where we're closing the roads next week
We're closing two roads to patch damage, starting on Monday (9.30am to 2pm) with Toutley Road in Wokingham, between Queens Road and Matthewsgreen Road.
We're then closing Upper Culham Lane in Remenham Hill, between the A4130 and Worleys Lane, on Tuesday and Wednesday (28 and 29 April).
Finally, we're closing Lower Earley Way overnight between Thursday (30 April) and Saturday 2 May, from 7pm until 6am, for litter picking.
The first phase is between Shinfield Road roundabout and Beeston Way, and the second phase is between Beeston Way and Rushey Way.

Do you still know the rules of the road?
Official rules and advice are always being updated to keep with the times, and it's easy to lose track if you've been driving, riding or cycling for a while.
In 2022, the Government brought in several changes to the Highway Code to make streets safer and more accessible for pedestrians and cyclists.
They've now produced some short animated diagrams to remind people how both new and long-standing rules work. Remember:
The changes recognise that some road users have more risk of causing harm than others, and prioritise those who are most vulnerable.
You can view the full Highway Code or a summary of the 2022 changes online.
Places are still available on the Be A Better Biker motorcycling safety course on Saturday 4 July, which has moved from Crowthorne to Wokingham fire station since we last promoted it. You can book a place from £25.
