 Cheer on runners at Wokingham Half Marathon
The Wokingham Half Marathon returns next month, with 3,700 runners taking on the challenge.
The race starts at 10am on Sunday 22 February. Check out the route map to find the best spots to show your support and plan ahead for road closures that morning.
Limited places are still available for the Children's Mini Mile with age categories from four to 11 years old. It costs £10 per child (adults who wish to accompany children go free) and all finishers get a medal.
There's no parking at Cantley Park or surrounding roads, but all town centre car parks are open. A free park and ride shuttle bus runs from Coppid Beech, where parking charges apply.

 Stand-up comedy comes to Dinton Pastures
Get ready for a night of top-quality stand-up comedy at the Coffee Deck at Dinton Activity Centre in Hurst.
The event on Friday 30 January has a stellar line-up, including award-winning comedian Duncan Adams and Sean Collins from Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.
The bar opens at 6pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm and running until 10pm. Tickets are £16 and the event is for over 18s only.
 Winter Mini Challenge keeps children reading
There's still time to sign up for the Winter Mini Challenge, which encourages children to read three books by 20 February.
The free challenge is run by The Reading Agency and is open to all ages. Pop into one of our libraries to pick up some books and ask staff about signing up.
Once registered, children review their books online to earn digital badges, certificates and entry into a prize draw to win a bundle of books.
 Woodley Town Mayor hosts charity quiz night
Test your knowledge at Woodley Town Mayor's charity quiz night on Friday 27 February at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley.
The event runs from 7pm to 10pm and will raise money for the Mayor's chosen charity, Promise Inclusion, a local user-led organisation working with people with learning disabilities and autism.
Tickets are £6.50 (plus booking fee), with teams of up to eight people. A cash bar and complimentary nibbles will be available, so don't forget to bring cash for drinks and raffle tickets on the night. If you can donate a raffle prize, please contact Cllr David Bragg or Woodley Town Council.
 Meet local MP and author Yuan Yang at library event
Join a special in-conversation event with Yuan Yang MP on Friday 23 January at Lower Earley Library to celebrate the National Year of Reading.
Yuan will discuss her book Private Revolutions, the value of reading and the authors who have influenced her life, writing and politics. The event runs from 11am to 12 noon and is hosted by Simon Savidge.
You're welcome to bring your own inspirational books to discuss too.
It's a free event and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate reading with your local MP and fellow book lovers.
 Bring broken items back to life at repair cafés
Give your broken household items a second chance at one of the borough's repair cafés happening soon.
Skilled volunteers will be on hand to repair small appliances, bikes, clothes, toys, lamps and much more. There is no charge for repairs, though donations are welcome.
It's a great opportunity to learn repair skills, reduce waste and stop good items going to landfill, all while enjoying a chat over a cup of tea.

 Meet the crew at Wokingham Fire Station
Find out what it takes to be a firefighter at a careers event on Saturday 24 January at Wokingham Fire Station.
The free event takes place from 10am to 4pm and is hosted by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service. You'll meet firefighters, practice equipment assembly, take part in a fitness tests and try firefighting kit with advice from professional trainers.
They'll also be a public demonstration of the Aerial Ladder Platform and you can find out more about the Fire Fighters Charity.
The event is aimed at people aged 17 and over interested in a career in the fire service, so there won't be activities for children. If you're planning to take part in the the fitness tests, wear gym gear and trainers with something covering your shoulders.
 Mel-odramatic musical magic at church
Join the Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra for its latest concert at All Saints Church in Wokingham on 31 January.
There will be a mixed programme in the ideal setting of the historic building, with sweeping Russian themes, delicate French impressionism, and English lyricism.
Event starts at 7.30pm. Book your tickets online, £15 for adults and £10 for under 18s.
