 Meet Mary Poppins at Summer Fun Day
Come along and meet Mary Poppins and Bert at the Summer Fun Day on Sunday 17 August from 11am to 4pm at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst.
The event is free to attend and organised by JL Events, who have run many fun events this year at our country parks. It includes:
- Rides, bungees and inflatables
- Meet Mary Poppins and Bert (12 noon to 2pm)
- Licensed bar and delicious food
- Face painting, crafts and games
- Small animal holding
- Craft stalls and more
The Summer Fun Day is suitable for everyone. You can also walk around the lakes and grounds at Dinton Pastures too.
 Learn all about bats
We're running a Bat Walk and Talk on Wednesday 20 August from 7pm to 9.30pm at the Dinton Activity Centre.
You will learn about the UK's native bats and how to detect them. You will then head off around the country park and put your new skills into practice, hopefully finding some bats along the way.
The event costs £15 per person and is suitable for people aged 12 years and above.

 Tickets available for Medieval Jousting event
Get ready to travel back in time and join a fun weekend at the Medieval Jousting event at Dinton Pastures Country Park on 13 and 14 September.
This brand-new event features medieval jousting on horses, a birds of prey display flight with a chance to handle some magnificent birds, a food market and much more.
Knights of Middle England from Warwickshire, a team of expert horsemen and women from varying equestrian, stunt and performance backgrounds will transform the field at Dinton Pastures into a show-stopping, medieval jousting display.
A ticket covers a full day from 10am to 4.30pm. Tickets prices are:
- Adult £8
- Child: £4
- Family (two adults and three children): £23
- Carers: £6.40
- Children aged two years and under are free
 Step right up, the circus is coming to town
We're excited to announce Paulo's Circus is returning to Dinton Pastures from 24 September to 12 October and tickets are available.
The highly entertaining show features mesmerising and jaw dropping acts including trapeze and tightrope walking, juggling and knife throwing.
Suitable for everyone including families with young children. Tickets start from £7. Children under two years old are free.
 Bathe in nature on forest walk
The popular forest bathing sessions with The Forest Bathing Institute are available to book this autumn.
Immerse yourself in a two and a half hour gentle walk under a canopy of trees at California Country Park in Finchampstead.
You will be guided through a series of sensory exercises designed to develop a deeper connection with nature, helping to calm your body and mind, before concluding with guided relaxation.
During the session your Forest Bathing Guide will share some of the science that shows why time with trees is so good for us, including research into the surprising secret benefits of breathing woodland air.
The sessions cost £36 which includes three and a half hour's parking. Upcoming dates:
