 Make a splash at the paddling pool
There's great news for families with young children as the paddling pool at California Country Park in Finchampstead is now open. The paddling pool will be open every day throughout the summer holidays until Sunday 7 September.
Each session is one hour and 45 minutes long, providing ample time for fun in the water. The session times are:
There's two ticket options available:
- £3.30 for anyone of any age entering the water
- £1.40 for adults who need to enter the pool area to supervise children but not the pool itself

 Book your outdoor movie night
We're so excited as Go Cinemas returns to Dinton Pastures tomorrow (Saturday 26 July) with their first outdoor movie screening of Grease. This summer, you can also sing along to screenings of Mamma Mia!, Wicked and Bohemian Rhapsody too.
The film line-up:
- Grease - Saturday 26 July at 7pm
- Mamma Mia! - Friday 22 August at 6pm
- Wicked - Friday 29 August at 6pm
- Bohemian Rhapsody - Saturday 30 August at 6pm
It's the perfect summer night treat, suitable for everyone. Remember to bring a picnic mat, chairs, clothing layers for cooler evenings and popcorn. We will have food and drink pop-up stands at the event too.

 Activities to be won in lottery super draw
The first Wokingham Borough Community Lottery Super Draw takes place tomorrow (Saturday 26 July) and you could be in with a chance to win lots of fantastic prizes including an annual gym membership worth £580 from Places Leisure.

 Set sail this summer holiday
There’s spaces later this summer to take part in our sailing weeks at Dinton Pastures.
Young people get the chance to grow their skills, reconnect with the water and enjoy the thrill of sailing all over again.
It’s a full week of childcare, plus young people get the chance to complete their next Royal Yachting Association stage, or start on their journey to learn to sail.

 Take part in a gentle forest bathing walk
The next forest bathing session hosted by the Forest Bathing Institute at California Country Park takes place on Saturday 2 August. This two and a half hour, gentle walk takes place under the canopy of trees, amongst beautiful woodland.
Throughout the session, you will be guided through a series of sensory exercises designed to develop a deeper connection with nature, calming your body and mind, before concluding with a guided relaxation.
A Forest Bathing Guide will share science which shows why time with trees is good for us, including research into the benefits of breathing in woodland air.
Tickets cost £36 which includes three and a half hours of car parking.

 Are you joining us at the lakeside party?
Come down to the Activity Centre at Dinton Pastures on Sunday 3 August for an afternoon of fun as we host our first lakeside party.
The event is free to attend and takes place from 1pm to 8pm. There's plenty to do, for instance you can hire a boat and paddle across the lake as boat hire will be extended until 8pm (pre-booking is recommended). You can dance as a DJ from Boogie Down Promotions hits the decks. You can even grab a bite to eat from the barbecue or a drink from The Rollin' Inn Bar.
We're also excited to announce The Horsebox Sauna and ice baths will be available on the day. During your session, you will have access to both the sauna and ice bath so you can enjoy the benefits of hot and cold therapy in a relaxed environment.
Take a dip or bask in the sauna whilst soaking up the views of our beautiful lakeside. You can book a 25 minute sauna and ice bath experience on the Horse Box Sauna website for £14 per person.

We're excited to announce a brand new summer fun day at Dinton Pastures on Sunday 17 August from 11am to 4pm. Hosted by JL Events, its free to attend and features:
- Rides and inflatables
- Free character visits from Mary Poppins and Bert
- A licensed bar
- Delicious food
- Face painting
- Crafts
- Games
- Small animal handling with brambles
- Craft stalls and more
It's the perfect day out for everyone. Dogs on leads are welcome. Please note character visits take place between 12pm and 2pm.
