 Get booked in for Dinton movie nights
Go Cinemas are back at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst this summer with their outdoor cinema screenings, suitable for everyone.
With five popular films to choose from, you can sit back, relax, munch on popcorn and soak in the picturesque countryside. The film line-up includes:
Bar, food and snacks available, picnics welcome. Bring your own chairs and blankets.
 SAFE Family Fun Day comes to Cantley
A family fun day is coming to Cantley Park in Wokingham this weekend.
Saving Abandoned Fly-Grazing Equines (SAFE) is hosting its annual event at the park off Twyford Road, from 11am to 5pm on Saturday (26 July).
The event will feature a dog show, donkey rides, stalls, a funfair, bouncy castles, food and drink options, a host of stalls and more.
Entry is £2 for adults, under 18s go free. All money raised goes towards the charity.
 Come for a boogie and barbecue
We are hosting a Lakeside Party on Sunday 3 August at the Activity Centre at Dinton Pastures.
This fun afternoon kickstarts at 1pm with a DJ from Boogie Down Promotions and features a barbecue, the Rollin' Inn Bar and The Horsebox Sauna for everyone to enjoy.
There's no need to book, simply turn up on the day. It's free entry so bring your partner, friends and family and relax beside Black Swan Lake or join the DJ for some dancing.
On the day, our normal boat hire will be extended to 8pm. Pre-booking of the boat hire is recommended.

 Fire engine part of free family funday
Lower Earley Library will be hosting a free family funday on Friday (25 July).
This will run from 10am to 12 noon at the library off Chalfont Close, with a host of activities to explore and a visit from a fire engine.
We’ll also be joined by Guide Dogs Trust, Age Concern, involve, Dr Bike and My Journey Wokingham, Brookside Health, Create, First Days Children’s Charity, Daisy’s Dream and Herbie Hedgehog Rescue.
This event will be a great way to start your school summer holidays.
 Upcoming activities and events for cycle training
There’s a host of free or low cost cycle training available through our MyJourney Wokingham team – a perfect thing to do this summer.
There’s also opportunities to see Dr Bike and get your bike checked over for free.

 Set sail this summer holidays
There’s spaces later this summer to take part in our sailing weeks at Dinton Pastures,
Young people get the chance to grow their skills, reconnect with the water and enjoy the thrill of sailing all over again.
It’s a full week of childcare, plus young people get the chance to complete their next Royal Yachting Association stage, or start on their journey to learn to sail.

When you book two or more participants onto the same Junior Sailing course and get 10 per cent off – perfect for siblings, cousins or friends who want to sail together.

Keeping town centres safe
We’re working with Thames Valley Police to run a safer town centres event in Wokingham on Monday 4 August.
Our community safety team will be in Market Place from 10am to 3pm to talk to residents and tell you how you can get support.
You’ll be able to:
- Meet officers services in the area
- Get safety information and advice
- Explore emergency vehicles from the police and fire service
Green Fair in Earley next weekend
Earley Green Fair takes place at Maiden Erlegh Nature Reserve on Saturday 2 August.
It runs from 10am to 3pm, at the green space off Beech Lane with a host of stalls, organisations and activities taking place.
There’ll be local small businesses selling plants, cakes, jewellery, crafts and handmade products, as well as charities and community groups offering tombolas and games.
First Class Falconry will be back by popular demand with your chance to meet some magnificent birds of prey.
