New pizza spot you Knead to know about
Knead Neapolitan Pizza officially opened its doors at Peach Place on Sunday (22 June), bringing a slice of authentic Neapolitan flavour to Wokingham town centre.
Following the success of their Maidenhead branch, Knead’s arrival has already got residents talking and tasting. Early visitors have praised the new spot, calling it “amazing pizza” and “just what Wokingham needed.”
The new pizzeria prides itself on serving planet friendly pizza using quality ingredients and traditional techniques - all served in a stylish, welcoming setting.
Disruption coming as new road takes shape
Main construction is now about to start, with the new road expected to open by the end of 2026 and all works due to finish by early 2027.
This scheme, called Western Gateway, also includes closures on Finchampstead Road from early September until early March 2026.
Later this year, as part of the main road build, we're expecting to close part of Easthampstead Road from north of the level crossing to Heathlands Road.
