Play a climate game at Wokingham Library
Join us at Wokingham Library for interactive climate and nature games on Saturday 14 June.
We’ve partnered with not-for-profit Climate Fresk to host its Nature Game and Climate Game sessions at the library, which is part of the Carnival Hub, from 12.45pm to 3.45pm.
The Climate Game explores the science of climate change, while the Nature Game focuses on biodiversity and ecosystem connections. Both games are equally engaging and suitable for beginners and experts alike.
These are collaborative experiences, with 42 beautifully designed game cards, which you'll arrange to reveal cause-and-effect relationships.
It gives you a chance to create your very own visual representation of environmental systems.
This is a free event, but places are limited, so book your spot. No prior knowledge is needed. This is part of a wider set of events for Reading Climate Festival, which runs from 7 to 21 June.

Shape priorities on spending for 2026/27
Do you think we should be spending more funding towards arts, culture and events?
Our 2026/27 budget conversation gives you a chance to shaped how your Council Tax is spent. We need to hear about what is most important to you and what is less important.
Most of our spending is committed to services we’re legally required to provide, such as adult and children's social care.
The consultation will focus on the areas where we have more flexibility, known as discretionary spending, and how we might make savings, as well as how we can generate more income.
Laugh out loud fun at Dinton comedy night
You can enjoy something a little different by joining us for a comedy night on Thursday 19 June.

Food and drink is available on the evening from 6pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Give your feedback on Forest of Imagination
Were you one of the hundreds of residents that joined us for Forest of Imagination at Dinton Pastures last month?
We’re looking for your feedback from the showcase weekend on 24 and 25 May.
The event saw people gather at the country park in Hurst to celebrate nature through arts, culture and education to help imagine and create a better and more sustainable future.
If you attended, we’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the installations, workshops and what you thought of the weekend more generally.
