Wokingham Borough Connect
 Enhanced bus service starts Monday
An enhanced Leopard 3 bus service for Shinfield, Arborfield, Finchampstead and Barkham starts on Monday (19 May).
Reading Buses will run the service up to every 30 minutes on this section between 6.30am and 7pm, and on Saturdays between 8am and 6pm.
The Sunday timetable is also being improved, with buses now running directly to Wokingham hourly between 8.30am and 8pm.
Thames Valley Science Park in Shinfield will now be served by buses that run to and from Wokingham on Monday to Fridays, providing a new direct link.
There'll still be buses up to every 15 minutes between Reading and Shinfield, via Royal Berkshire Hospital, with minor changes to allow for the route extensions.
Listening to your needs and supporting sustainable travel
Reading Buses is already running an hourly service on the 3 on a commercial basis, including more frequent journeys between Arborfield and Reading.
We tendered for a contract to run the Wokingham to Arborfield stage more frequently earlier this year, following feedback from residents.
The weekday and Saturday daytime improvements have been funded through contributions from developers building new housing in the borough.
The Sunday and weekday evening journeys are Government funded through our Bus Service Improvement Plan, working in partnership with Reading Buses.
 Resurfacing continues to make improvements
We’ve recently completed resurfacing at multiple locations across the borough.
Drovers Way (Woodley), Mill Lane (Earley) and Binfield Road (Wokingham) have been resurfaced in recent weeks, with scores of other locations earmarked for the months ahead.
You can track the progress of this year's programme on our new live list.
We invest millions in network improvements every year using a range of methods, depending on which is most suitable in each instance.
A329(M) update
We continue to work overnight resurfacing the A329(M), between Winnersh Triangle and Coppid Beech.
Closures will take place from 7pm each day until 6am the following morning until the morning of Saturday 24 May, with traffic flowing as usual during the daytime.
See more on our interactive map, as well as diversion routes if you’re planning your journey.
Don't forget there'll be partial closures at the junction of Molly Millars Lane and Finchampstead Road in Wokingham this weekend (17 and 18 May) for supporting works on the South Wokingham Distributor Road. Remember you can sign up to our newsletter for the latest on the project
Be a better biker through advanced training
Workshops are being run to help motorcyclists improve their riding skills.
The course is delivered by Thames Valey Advanced motorcyclists, with support from councils, the fire services and Thames Valley Police.
