Community engagement sessions and fun day
Come and chat with our Community Engagement team to find out what is happening in your area, or let us know how we can help you.
We have information on things such as volunteering, adult education and how to access free health checks from the Community Wellness Outreach team.
These sessions are held on the first Friday of the month, starting at Twyford Library from 10am to 1pm and then moving to Wargrave Library from 2pm to 5pm.
The Community Engagement team are also working with Shinfield Parish Council to organise a family fun day at the School Green Centre on Friday 11 April from 10am to 1pm.
Enjoy soft play, arts and crafts and more as we are joined by My Journey Wokingham, Thames Valley Police and Sport in Mind.

A trained volunteer will deliver items to match your reading tastes every three weeks at an agreed time.
This service is for any resident who can't visit their local library because of ill health, disability or because they are caring for someone.
You can apply online and application forms are also available in all our libraries.

Support and awareness for deaf community
Deaf Awareness Week is scheduled to take place from 5 to 11 May.
The annual event aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the deaf community and educate others how they can provide support and understanding.
It is a time to celebrate diversity and build a more inclusive world. People are encouraged to learn more about deaf awareness, British Sign Language and effective ways to communicate with individuals who are deaf or have hearing loss.
During Deaf Awareness Week, we will have a display at Wokingham Library, thanks to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Autism Acceptance Month
Autistic people face discrimination and barriers across all sectors of society and Autism Acceptance Month aims to raise awareness throughout April, with a view to creating a society that works for autistic people.
You can read our blog article on Autism Acceptance Month.
