Join a community litter pick near you
Join the borough-wide Annual Litter Pick on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March to help make a difference to where you live.
To take part in a litter pick, you will need to wear gloves and sturdy shoes. We encourage you to bring your own litter picker and high-visibility vest, but if you don't have any, we will provide them to you while stocks last. Bags will be given out to collect litter.
Apart from keeping your local area clean, community litter picks also give you an opportunity to meet new people and educate children about the importance of looking after our world.
Visit our website to find out how to contact your local organiser if you're interested. Our Annual Litter Pick is organised in support of Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean.

There’s still time to register to take part in our Covid Memorial Woodland planting next week.
The woodland, to remember those we lost during the Covid-19 pandemic, will be located to the north of California Country Park in Finchampstead.
There will be two sessions every day from Wednesday 19 March to Saturday 22 March, starting at 9.30am and 1pm.
Graffiti workshop is a great success
Our Prevention and Youth Justice Service worked with On the Level Productions to run a graffiti workshop for young people, creating powerful canvases with messages against bullying and serious violence.
The children had a great three days, producing two large colourful canvases, plus canvas bags and t-shirts. New friendships were made and the staff involved were able to build stronger relationships with the children they support.
The impact was clear from the comments from those who were there:
- "I don’t know what I would have done this week without this workshop"
- “I enjoy spray painting and I can do it here without getting in trouble”
- “When I started, I thought my art was horrible and then I could practise and get better”
This project was made possible by the local police commissioner's Partnership Fund.
Have your say on our Nature Recovery Strategy
You can share your views on Berkshire's Nature Recovery Strategy, which will set out the actions to protect biodiversity, reduce the impact of climate change and boost the benefits of local nature.
Wokingham Borough, and Berkshire, has a diverse landscape and your feedback will help us create the right strategy to assist nature recovery across the area.
Leave your comments and add your pins to the Local Habitat Map by Monday 24 March.
