Free arts and cultural activities to inspire you
We’re excited to bring the award-winning ‘Forest of Imagination’ arts project to the borough, thanks to a grant from the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Wokingham Borough’s Forest of Imagination 2025 offers a wide range of free arts and cultural experiences for residents to connect with nature and learn about the climate emergency.
Kicking these off are engaging sessions led by Toby Thompson, an award-winning poet, musician and global storyteller, from Thursday 6 March to Sunday 9 March. Sign up using the button below.
The project continues with a four-day showcase at Dinton Pastures Country Park from 22 to 25 May, featuring sensory installations, participatory activities, performances, digital experiences and more.
Wokingham Borough’s Forest of Imagination 2025 is a collaboration between us, Bath Spa University, House of Imagination and Grant Associates. Together, we bring the project outside of Bath, its original home, to raise awareness about the climate crisis.

Main construction works will be starting in the spring, but we're not expecting any significant disruption on the roads until mid-summer.
We're finalising the works programme with our partners at Balfour Beatty now, and as soon as that's confirmed we'll publish more detailed timescales.
Four fined for graffiti in car park
Four people have been fined for graffitiing parts of Carnival car park in Wokingham.
CCTV at the town centre car park off Wellington Road, helped us catch and issue fixed penalty notices for the incidents.
It costs you money for us to clean it up and makes the area look worse, so we work with residents, the police and community groups to investigate and stop it happening.
Our teams will continue to use all means at our disposal to identify graffiti offenders. Any information about incidents can be passed in confidence to asb@wokingham.gov.uk
Drop in to Residents Reception for support
The Residents Reception is your chance to drop in and get the help you need in person from local services.
You’ll get assistance and information on various topics, while also being directed to additional support services when necessary. Upcoming sessions are:
Organisations there to help you include, Citizens Advice Wokingham, First Days Children's Charity, The Cowshed, Involve Community Services, Community Wellness Outreach Wokingham, our adult social care team and our community engagement team.
