Wokingham Borough Connect
 Help shape Wokingham Borough's future
Our draft plan for the next five years is now open for your feedback. This is your chance to help shape our Council Plan, which sets the priorities and themes that will guide our borough’s future.
Tell us what matters to you. Whether it’s sustainability, housing, transport, education, or community wellbeing, your input is vital to ensure our plan reflects the needs and aspirations of everyone in the borough.
Take a few minutes to share your thoughts by completing our survey today, which closes on Monday 3 March.
Give us your views on pharmacies
We would like to hear how you access and use pharmacy services in Wokingham Borough to help us develop services in the future.
Why you should take part
Your views will help inform our Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment, which will look at health needs in the borough, the level and accessibility of pharmacy services and how these will be maintained and developed in the future.
Taking the survey
The questionnaire should take no longer than five minutes to complete. The information you provide is confidential. Please be honest with your answers so we can accurately assess areas where pharmacies are already fulfilling your needs and areas that could improve.
 Services for young children
Give your views on early years support
We are working on a strategy to support children in their early years (aged 0 to five) with our partners, stakeholders and childcare professionals. We want to hear the views from parents and carers about their experience of accessing and using early years services and support in the borough.
Why should you take part
Your feedback will help shape the future direction of our services for children in early years, ensuring we will be focusing on the right areas to help them and their families during these crucial years.
Taking the survey
The survey is open until Friday 21 February and takes approximately ten to 15 minutes to complete.

Budget consultation: What you said and next steps
Like all local authorities, we are facing severe financial pressures as we look at how we can set a balanced budget, protect services and invest in your future.
At the end of last year, we held a consultation to seek ideas on how best to achieve these targets. Thank you to everyone who took part in our survey.
What you said
Just over half of respondents were either in favour or neutral to the idea of increasing fees and charges to protect services. There was a preference to focus on core services and a consensus that increases should try to target those who are able to afford it and where services are optional.
We also explored controlling costs and generating income in order to protect our financial position and there was a lot of support for this principle.
What happens next
We will set our budget for 2025/26 on Thursday 20 February.

Consultations that are not run by Wokingham Borough Council but may be of interest to residents:
Transport for the South East consultation
Transport for the South East’s (TfSE) ‘Your Voices’ consultation is now live.
TfSE are the sub-national transport body for the South East of England.
With a partnership made up of 16 local authorities, representatives of district and borough authorities, protected landscapes and national delivery agencies, TfSE determines what investment is needed to transform the region's transport system and drive economic growth.
It is asking members of the public to complete a survey, which will inform the Transport Strategy Refresh, due to be published this summer.
The new draft strategy sets out their vision for the region, highlighting plans to use transport to grow the economy, connect communities and reach net zero in the decades ahead.
You can share your views on the proposals online, with the deadline for responses being Friday 7 March.
