 Top comics lined up for inaugural comedy night
Join us for our very first comedy night at Dinton Activity Centre, an evening that promises to be filled with fun and laughter.
Featuring a stellar line-up of stand-up comedians, the show will be held at The Coffee Deck on Friday 14 March from 7pm to 9pm.
The line-up includes:
- Martin Graham, an award-winning comedian known for his creative works
- Richard Morton, a musical stand-up with more than 20 years of experience
- Harry Jenkins, a rising star of the comedy circuit
- Michael Fabbri, a regular performer in comedy clubs across the UK and worldwide
You will also be able to enjoy the stunning views over the lake and access to the terrace for food and drinks, provided by our catering partner, Cleverchefs.

 Inflatable family fun day returns to Loddon Valley
Little ones can run wild and have fun on inflatables at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre in Lower Earley.
The inflatable family fun day is taking place in the main sports hall on Friday 21 February and will feature a range of soft play equipment.
It costs £8 per child for a session of 90 minutes and these are running from:
- 9am to 10.30am (SEND session)
- 10.45am to 12.15pm
- 12.30pm to 2.00pm
- 2.15pm to 3.45pm
Staff will be supervising all inflatables, but parents and guardians are required to attend with their child.
Booking will be available two weeks in advance via the Places Leisure online.
 Specialist boxing class for people with Parkinson's
Place Leisure have recently launched a new weekly boxercise class, tailored for people with Parkinson’s disease.
Research has found that group-based boxing sessions, incorporating adaptable and varied exercise and social interaction, can be beneficial.
Sessions run from 1.15pm to 2pm on Tuesdays at Wokingham Leisure Centre at the Carnival Hub.
It is free for members to attend and £3.50 for non-members. Classes are suitable for all fitness levels and run by a qualified boxercise instructor, with specialist knowledge of the condition.

 A wealth of information and fun for new parents
Do you have a child under the age of five and want to know more about the help and support you can access locally?
We will be hosting events at our libraries that bring together various teams and organisations, with each session including a story, rhymes and colouring activities for your child.
Bookstart packs will be gifted to families with a child up to the age of 18 months, which include a book and a leaflet for parents about the benefits of rhymes and stories.
There will be representatives from our public health, community engagement and early years teams, as well as charities Home-Start, The Cowshed and the Breastfeeding Network.
All sessions run from 10am to 12 noon, starting with a 45-minute Storytime. Come and join us at:

 Go on an adventure at Shinfield Cinema this month
Have you been to Shinfield Cinema yet? This month, there will be superhero action, a Disney classic on Valentine's Day and a Polynesian adventure with Moana.
The community resource has been provided by Shinfield Studios and is run by Shinfield Parish Council at the School Green Centre. Upcoming films include:
The Crumbs café is currently available for the earlier showings, selling popcorn, snacks and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.
Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children under the age of 16 and £4 for concessions.
