Wokingham Borough Connect
 M4 closures this weekend
The M4 westbound will be closed this weekend between junctions 10 and 11.
The slip roads from the A329(M) onto the M4 will also be closed in both directions.
The road will be closed overnight on 14 and 15 December, closing at 9pm and re-opening at 6am on both days.
The closures are in place for National Highways to carry out inspections on structures safely.
 Travelling by train this Christmas
There will be no train services available on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and timings may be different from normal on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
There are planned works that may affect your journey outside of these times. You should check before you travel with National Rail's 'Plan your Journey' tool.
National Rail have a round-up of train services during the festive period. Those affecting the borough can be found here:

 Bus shelter installation nearly complete
Trueform, who were awarded the bus shelter contract, have nearly finished replacing 20 bus shelters across the borough with new, modern, environmentally friendly and sustainably produced shelters.
The new shelters are replacing shelters which are now old and in poor condition and are being provided at no cost to us as they are financed through the sale of advertising on the shelters.
As well as receiving an income through a proportion of advertising revenue, this will also offer us another way to keep residents informed, at no cost.
Real time information screens will be being re-installed one the new shelters are in place.
Green benefits
The new shelters have green roofs, planted with a range of pollinator friendly, drought tolerant perennials. Green roofs have many benefits including reducing Co2 emissions, lower noise levels, purifying air and providing habitats for insects and wildlife.
They have been manufactured locally within 30 minutes of the borough and the old shelters will be re-used and recycled where possible.
Ten of the new shelters will have digital advertising screens which will be powered by renewable energy, including solar panels.
Promoting products and services
Digital advertising screens will provide opportunities for local businesses to promote products and services, as well as a small proportion of space reserved for us to provide vital emergency and crisis management communications and other key messaging.
We will also receive a proportion of advertising revenue, expected to be an increase on previous income from bus shelter advertising.
The panels have built-in sensors, allowing them to adjust to ambient light levels and will not operate between 12 midnight and 5am.
Those interested in advertising can contact sales@mass-media.co.uk.
