 Music, laughter and more at festive extravaganza
Woodley Christmas Extravaganza runs from 10am to 3pm in Woodley precinct on Sunday 1 December, with stalls, Santa and much more.
There will be music provided by a ukulele band, Indian dancing, comedy jugglers, a Hungarian folk dance display and rock choir, along with comedy street performers.
Free parking is available on the day in the Headley Road, Crockhamwell Road and Lytham Road car parks.

 Personalise your very own Christmas wreath
In the run-up to Christmas, we are excited to have Polly's Garden hosting a Christmas wreath making workshop at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday 4 December, from 6.30pm to 9pm, at The Coffee House located next to the main car park.
For £65 per person, you will receive expert tuition and all the necessary equipment, along with a wide range of decorative elements and you will leave with a beautiful wreath you can be proud of.
The price also includes a festive welcome drink and our special Dinton Pastures mince pies.

 Help Santa as he gets ready for the big day
Santa and his elves are coming to Woodley on Monday 23 December as part of a free event at the Oakwood Centre.
It is being organised by Crumbs Café and Woodley Town Council and will run from 10am to 3pm.
There will be a meet and greet with Santa, entertainment and activities while you wait and every child will receive a special gift.
You will be required to book for one of the 30-minute sessions, with time slots available from 10am to 2pm and 1pm to 3pm.

 Experience a Christmas adventure on the water
Bundle up in your Santa suit, or throw on your favourite festive costume, and take part in the annual Santa Paddle at Dinton Activity Centre in Hurst.
Sessions are being held on the weekend before Christmas, with the choice of taking to the water in a canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard.
These will run from 10.30am to 12noon on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 December and cost £32 for adults and £26 for children.
Paddle across the lake while spotting wildlife and join in with the Christmas carols as you glide along. You then get to finish off your adventure with a well-deserved hot chocolate and mince pie.
 A merry sing-a-long featuring talented local groups
Enjoy an afternoon of Christmas music at Wokingham Town Hall while helping to raise money for charity.
Organised by more arts, the event will include performances from Woodley Concert Band, Wokingham Choral Society and a Ukrainian choir.
Join in the fun from 1pm to 2.30pm on Saturday 7 December. Entry is free and spaces can be reserved by booking online. However, donations will be accepted for SHARE Wokingham, the Town Mayor's charity of the year.
The programme will be a mixture of short performances and songs to where you are encouraged to join in. There will also be mince pies and mulled wine.
 Christmas takes over Twyford for annual fayre
Twyford is set to be transformed once again for the Christmas Fayre, organised by Twyford Together.
The fayre runs the length of London Road, from the crossroads at Bell Corner to Jubilee Corner. The street is closed to traffic for the day so that villagers and visitors can enjoy a wide variety of stalls run by residents and businesses.
This year, the fayre falls on Friday 6 December and will run from 6pm to 9pm.
It's not just stalls on offer, as there will also be fairground rides, a climbing wall and a barbecue hosted by 1st Twyford Scouts. There will also be entertainment from jugglers, choir singers and a brass band.
You may also spot Father Christmas taking a break from his busy schedule to pay a visit.
 Keeping you safe and well with winter advice session
Members of our Community Safety Team will be running a seasonal safety event at Wokingham Town Hall on Thursday 5 December.
The session is being organised in partnership with the Wokingham Neighbourhood Policing Team and it will be a chance to speak to people from various organisations.
It is hoped this will help residents to feel more prepared for some of the common problems faced in the winter. This includes wellbeing and mental health, as well as preventing crime and avoiding scams.
Join us from 10.30am to 1pm for this free event, which will also feature Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cranstoun and Involve.
 Life skills sessions for neurodivergent teenagers
Local charity are running a series of sessions for 15 to 19-year-olds called the Safer Me Project. The project is aimed at teens who are neurodiverse and want to meet others in safe and welcoming spaces, while learning new things.
The monthly sessions will cover topics such as:
- Healthy relationships
- Community safety and travel training
- Behaviour and communication
- Money, online and sexual safety
- Alcohol, drugs, health and wellbeing
Sessions will take place in Wokingham and there will also be days out around Wokingham, Reading and Bracknell to support with travel training, using local buses and trains.

 Support domestic abuse charity at festive ball
A Winter Wonderland themed charity ball will take place at Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham on Wednesday 11 December.
The event is being organised by domestic abuse charity Kaleidoscopic UK, in partnership with Noushka Design.
Starting at 7pm, the evening will include a three-course festive dinner, DJ and disco, photobooth and lots of surprises.
