Renowned circus dazzles at Dinton Pastures
For the first time, the historic and beloved Paulo's Circus is coming to Dinton Pastures Country Park!
From Friday 4 to Sunday 13 October, the circus will bring us captivating performances of traditional acts blended with modern twists that promise to delight audiences of all ages.
Founded in 1816, the circus innovates and presents a contemporary spectacle. We're thrilled that Dinton Pastures is a stop on the final leg of their 2024 tour, which sets to give us a unique experience filled with joy and excitement.
Tickets are now available online from £8 per person. Use the discount code DINTONCIRCUS to enjoy 30 per cent off all tickets before midnight, Sunday 22 September.
 Illuminate your night for charity
The highly anticipated Glow Walk, organised by First Days Children’s Charity, is returning to Dinton Pastures this November.
On Saturday 16 November, from 5pm to 9pm, you and your family can immerse yourselves in a beautifully illuminated 2-mile course around Black Swan Lake, adorned with LED lights and glow-in-the-dark decorations.
There will be live music along the walk, and you can sign up for a special glowing stand-up paddleboarding session, if you wish.
Hot and cold refreshments, including hot chocolate, hot dogs, burgers and mulled wine will be on sale, so you can bring something warm with you while seeing Dinton under the starlight.
To add in more fun, you are encouraged to put on your own accessories to make yourself glow in the dark!
First Days is offering tiered pricing to make this fundraising event accessible to as many people as possible. You can contribute based on your own circumstances and how much you can afford.
Grab your ticket before they sell out!
There’s still time to sign up for the Dinton Supathlon on Sunday 22 September. You can enter as an individual to complete both a 1km stand-up paddleboard race and a 5km run by yourself, or as a team of two, with each doing one part of the event.
 Outdoor experiences for home-educated students
Our Forest School at Dinton Pastures is now offering new slots on Tuesdays, specially designed for home-educated students.
The programme offers a six-week 'curriculum' covering a range of educational outdoor activities, such as exploring insects and small creatures, discovering pond wildlife, and learning about trees.
It also gives children exciting adventures through orienteering, shelter building and fire lighting sessions.
You can book your child for individual sessions or take advantage of a discount when booking all six sessions.
 Dinton footpath upgrade begins
We are upgrading the footpath at White Swan Lake at Dinton Pastures to give a better visitor experience.
Work will start from Monday 30 September and is expected to take approximately three weeks. Here are more details about the project:
-
Phase one: from the overflow car park to the River Loddon bridge. We will be levelling the current path and tarmacking the route. The work is planned to take five days.
-
Phase two: from the overflow car park to Herons Water Lake. Work includes levelling the path and tarmacking and is expected to take nine days.
-
Phase three: a few weeks later, we will finish with tarring and pea shingling both sections. This final step will take a couple of days.
After completing the work, the upgraded path will be as good as the Black Swan route we did two years ago.
The project is fully funded through revenues raised by our country parks, ensuring that we continue reinvesting in what matters to you.
During the work, there will be minor disruptions and some sections of the path may be closed. We thank you in advance for your patience.
